When you want to make a payment or transfer money from one account to another, you can use the UPI payment platform. UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is a real-time payment platform. This was launched by the National Payments Corporation of India.
How to Link Credit Cards to UPI Payment Apps?
Here is a guide on how you can link your credit card to UPI apps. Once you link your credit card to a UPI app, you can easily make payments or transactions via the app. Your credit card details will be saved and you can enter your CVV and OTP to make payments. We will look through the steps to link your credit card through three major apps:
After you link your card to these apps, you will get a confirmation message that the card has been added and linked. You can also remove cards if needed.
Credit card tokenization is a method for protecting credit card numbers by replacing the original credit card number with a substitute, called a token. This means that even if the information is stolen, it may be difficult to use without the unique key.
Step 1: Go to the Paynet channel which is on the SBI Card/Mobile App.
Step 2: Type in the SBI credit card number, the amount you want to pay and then choose your UPI option.
Step 3: You will be redirected to the UPI page. You have to choose 'Enter your VPA' or 'Scan QR code'
Step 4: Then you should enter the VPA handle. You can also scan your QR code with any UPI app.
Step 5: You should then authorise the payment.
Step 6: The confirmation will be shown
Step 7: After the payment has been made, this will be posted on the credit card account.
Step 1: Select 'BHIM UPI Payment' on the mobile banking app
Step 2: Type in your 6-digit App password
Step 3: Choose 'Send Money'
Step 4: Now, choose the to pay via UPI ID of the beneficiary account number and IFSC code.
Step 5: Enter your mobile number and MMID
Step 6: Type in the amount.
Step 7: Enter your 4-digit UPI PIN and make the payment.
Step 1: Initiate your UPI payment from any UPI app
Step 2: Enter the Axis Bank Credit Card bill UPI ID
Step 3: Now, verify the name and then enter the credit card bill amount
Step 4: Now, complete the transaction with your UPI PIN
Step 1: After adding bank account, generate virtual address and set UPI PIN for authenticating transactions.
Step 2: Click on Pay.
Step 3: If you want to use a Virtual Address, enter the virtual address of your beneficiary who is registered with UPI.
Step 4: If you want to transact via IFSC code, enter the bank account details and proceed with the transaction.
Step 1: Select 'BHIM UPI' and click on 'My Kotak' section. You can also click on 'Banking' section on the Kotak Bank app
Step 2: On the 'BHIM UPI' menu, click on 'Send Money'
Step 3: Choose your mode as 'Pay to Account' or 'Pay to VPA'
To Send Money to a VPA/ UPI ID:
Step 1: Choose the VPA
Step 2: Type in the beneficiary's VPA, the amount, and select 'Submit'
Step 3: Confirm all details

Step 2: Click on 'Transfer Money' and select 'Send'
Step 3: Choose 'A/C IFSC'
Step 4: Now click on 'Bank of India'
Step 5: Enter the IFSC code - BKID0000101
Step 6: Under 'Beneficiary Name', enter your name
Step 7: Select 'Account Number' and type in your 16-digit BOI credit card number
Step 8: Enter the card number and select 'Send'

Step 2: Enter the IDBI Bank Credit Card bill UPI ID
Step 3: Now, verify the name and then enter the credit card bill amount
Step 4: Now, complete the transaction with your UPI PIN
Step 1: You have to initiate your UPI payment from a UPI app
Step 2: Now, enter your Canara Bank Credit Card bill UPI ID
Step 3: After the verification of the name, enter the amount
Step 4: Complete the transaction with your UPI PIN
Step 1: Register on BHIM app (You can download it from the Google Playstore)
Step 2: Choose ‘Credit Card’ as your linking option.
Step 3: Select your issuing bank from the drop-down menu. Make sure the mobile number associated with your issuing bank is updated. Masked Credit Cards associated with your mobile number will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Choose the card you want to link. Confirm the selection.
Step 5: Generate a UPI PIN to complete the process.
